Birthday Party!

We went to a new facility for a therapy visit today and we encountered one gentleman that just loved Sophie. He wanted to give her his potato chips and when I said no that she had some treats, she better not have any, he said well I have a can of Alpo! Anyway, someone else in the area asked me how old she was and I said she would be 2 in a couple months ..... the man immediately said "We have to have a birthday party for her". I thought that was so cute. Then a little while later we ran into him in another room with a different group of people and when we walked in he said "Hey it is Sophie". He immediately told all of them that she was going to have a birthday in March and that we were going to have a party for her. We were even going to have a clown! It was so cute! Some days with therapy work are better than others ..... today was a good day! Those are the ones that keep you going!

This home was actually one of the nicest ones I been to whether on therapy work or just personal visits. The residents for the most part seemed genuinely happy. As we would walk away from them I would say probably 75% of them would say "I Love You Sophie". That was so sweet!

What a great story. I love that Sophie is able to bring such joy. I'm sure therapy work does have its "ups and downs", but this was such a positive and rewarding visit.
