Dood! (hahaha) I can't believe that our new little man will be home with us in less than a week. It seems like it was JUST February, and I was wondering how my son was going to make it all the way until May (yeah, and maybe me, too). And now he's coming home next Saturday! All I can say is, it's pays to keep B. U. S. Y. Luckily I've had lots of that, between the rugrats, an influx of projects for work and getting ready for doing this puppy thang again. Amazing what you forget!
And speaking of work, perhaps I'll share the project that's been terrific for me on both a professional and personal level. It's been a big one so has been a big part of the busy. If you read my last blog post, you know we lost our fabulous Golden Retriever last fall. Other than the short time we lived in CA with him, he was cared for by Dr. Thompson (also one of my best buds) at Bay Beach Veterinary Hospital here in VA Beach...she'd been his doc since he was a pup! That last night, everyone there on the staff was so incredible, and afterwards sent such a nice, handwritten card expressing their sympathies over our loss.... Long story short, they've had a new state-of-the-art facility built, and man is it amazing!!! I'm so excited to take our little dood there to check it all out. And along with their new hospital they decided to get a new logo and a new website. I've been completely honored to be chosen as the designer for these projects, and am quite proud of the results (
www.baybeachvets.com). I feel like I was able to give a bit back for all that the staff had done for Tucker over the years....
So now that I'm done tooting my own horn (yikes!), a picture of our Seamus from today. Yep, we decided he's a Seamus. Though when he's in trouble it will be Seamus Finnegan ;). But he seems a pretty mellow dood (I'm probably jinxing us...), so we decided he was more Seamus than Finnegan. Such a big difference from 2 weeks ago...romping around with his bro's and sis's, no longer the shivering little baby. And so big!!! He was the runt of the litter, but has now grown so much that he's no longer the smallest in the bunch. Atta boy!
