Carol and John

I don't have a poop bag list (actually I'm lucky if I remember to have a poop bag when I leave the house, let alone a list) - but if I did, I would have just added my first entry.  Carol and her husband John are in town for their daughter's wedding, and even with their tight schedule, they graciously stopped by to meet me, Lola and Esau.  

Time was short, and there was so much I wanted to say and hear... I'm sure I was talking a mile a minute (sorry if that was the case Carol and John).  But let me just say this was one of those rare experiences that was everything you hoped it would be and then some.

They are amazing people - you can tell the moment you meet them.  I found them in the lobby of my building by the fireplace, and Carol gave me a big hug as though we had known each other all our lives.  John is a true gentleman, who looks you in the eye when he shakes your hand with that look of integrity and class like my grandfather used to do.  They are warm, kind, gracious, articulate, intelligent and charismatic - each with a wonderful, matching little twinkle in the eye.  No wonder Banjo is so awesome.  

Congratulations John and Carol on the wedding, please pass along my congratulations to the bride and groom and have a safe trip home when it's over.  Can't wait to see you again when the weather is better and Banjo is here and the dogs can all run around together and play and have a great time.

Thanks everyone.  As I said before and as everyone knows they are really amazing people.  Just look at how comfortable Esau was with Carol - and that was maybe 2 or 3 minutes after they first met, while I went into the cafe to get a cup of coffee.  If you ask me that pretty much says it all.

What a wonderful meetup. I can'y believe you, outgoing and connected as you are, have not met other DKers. I have never counted but I have met many and it has been great fun. My son was worried that Laurie and Doris might be internet predators coming to steal the silver, of which I have none, but he was so wrong.
