SO ... I had sent some photos of where I live to a few people on DK, which in turn led to my making a little video to try to explain where I was photographing. And I just remembered, right after we moved her I had posted a blog about our great new dog-friendly living situation. You may recall we were joking around about moving the DK vacation community here. At the time I had said I would try to get some photos to give people a better sense of what I was talking about. Well, here are a whole lot of photos meant to be viewed consecutively, one after another - what is sometimes colloquially referred to as a video. I was also just figuring out how to take video with my camera, so please pardon the terrible video skills and also the grinding of zoom motor. I see why people complain about that one.
Oh, and the name of the restaurant - I think that actually it is Three Forks, not Two Forks, after all. I think but I'm not certain. In any case it is a nice place to eat. Just in case anyone is ever looking for it.

Wow! I haven't ever been to a real highrise city. California cities do NOT look like this. Way cool!
Jay, thanks for taking me down memory lane, well, sort of. I was born in Chicago and spent my first 10 years there! I have memories of things I did but not much else. I used to always go with a friend to the Lakeshore Club. Does it even still exist? It was a very very long time ago. lol. Thanks for sharing your wonderful city!
Jay this is really cool in daylight! What an exciting place to live.
Jay, that was so much fun!! Love your view and how dog friendly it is! And you see Oprah's place! My only Chicago connection is the tile company that created my kitchen backsplash and now there is you!
Jay, thanks for the tour. I had several chuckles and yes, they were petunias. You live in a very lovely place. But they missed shooting the most appropriate movie there, Vertigo : )
Thanks for the fun views of Chicago, Jay. My DH was there for a business trip recently and stayed just off the lake, too. We grew up in Wisconsin but moved away for grad school, and I haven't been back to Chicago since. Someday I would love a guided tour of the famous architecture.
Thanks for the tour, Jay. Haven't been in the city for ages, nice to see it again, lol.
I love Chicago! Thanks for the tour!
great tour! thanks!
Love this Jay and thanks for showing us your city! Wow, lots to do and so beautiful! Looks like Lola and Esau live the good life in their pet friendly city:)
