Chipmunks!

Chipmunk hunting in the hosta bushes is now Divot's favorite activity. Squirrels have taken second place. He even pulled off the drain spout trying to get the chipmunk out. We don't think he would know what to do if he ever caught one.
We can't even whisper the word, chipmunk. They are called CM's.

Our old family cairn terrier used to go on "chipmunk patrol" in the front yard. Too funny! We said that phrase and he went crazy :)

Twice now I've caught my dogs with fledgling birds which they sort of poke at and chase. I've managed to get the birds out of harms way and I hope they were ok. I saw no major injuries and I like to think the dogs were just curious.

Once they get that chipmunk fever, there's no stopping them! Our old GR was obsessed with chipmunks. She caught one once, ran around the yard with it, then gently let it go without harming a single hair. She was very proud of herself!!
