Cooper is taking his Canine Good Citizen test this coming Wednesday! I am excited, and have spent a lot of the weekend practicing. I believe he will pass...but I guess you just never know! He does well when greeting most people, but every once in a while he jumps right up on them? Don't know why? At any rate the test is at the training facility we go to, and he does great there....so I think we will be fine!
Anybody have any last minute tips or tricks? I am going to take him out and run run run him Wednesday afternoon before the test! He does a lot better when he is well exercised!

Fingers crossed!

I went to the testing site a bit early, and practiced there a little to get her in the "mood". I also kept her a bit hungry and rubbed my target hand with Zuke's Mini Treat to entice her for good heeling :-0
Good luck to you and Cooper!

I ran Rosco and started working him early in the day...practicing in a nearby park. For Rosco it only made him worse I think. I think from his perspective he was starting to feel the repetition was condescending...LOL.
Pointless reminders of what he already knew...eventually he said "whatever" hahaha! But I don't think that will happen with you and Cooper. Rosco's just lazy so he got tired and then was even less interested in doing what he was supposed to.

Good luck! My Rosco did way worse on the CGC test than during training...and he passed. Unless it is one of the exercises where you can't repeat a command (or not more than once or whatever)...remember you can talk him through stuff--it's not straight memorized performance =)
