Dear Jack

I am writing so there is always good record of how amazing you are.. In a few days you will be four years and six months.. You half birthday...... I have decided to start celebrating your half birthdays because there is never going to be enough birthdays for us to share ever, no matter how long we both live.

It feels like yesterday I heard your tail thump in that crate for the first time and I will never get that sound out of my head.... You have been on a diet since about June... I know I am a hypocrite... I eat McDonalds you only eat Organic.   I think I will splurge a little for you on your half birthday.

You currently weigh just over 17 pounds and have lost some weight.... I am taking you for walks in the scooter that goes pretty fast and I let you set the pace..... You love to run lately.. it feels like you are getting younger and I finally feel like you feel your best and I am so happy we have found a balance.

Finally no more accidents in the house and you are able to hold going potty all night... FINALLY....... not that I minded getting up with you because you little boy are the sunshine of my life but I am glad we sleep and know each others routines.

You have been on Bravo Raw Complete Diet since June and you seem to LOVE it... I also give you sardine without added salt one can of five last about four days .. You get that every other week..... Canned Salmon sometimes as well.

You are getting your first real dental cleaning this coming Thursday.. The vet didn't feel you had to have it and for some reason your teeth have improved ... but you and Molly are going together.. Make sure you don't get sick from the anesthesia okay, I won't forgive myself.

You get Zuke treats at bedtime, I love our bedtime ritual of me eating my snack and you getting some Zukes, I love how you know it is time for your snack and you stand and stare at the nightstand drawer that houses both are bags of snacks....

You still don't love to be around big dogs with a lot of energy but you are doing good with big dogs that are calmer....

I am so sorry I let Kellan (age two pinch your face) I turned my back for one second.... and he was pinching you hard I know right in your face... You are such a good boy you didn't even react.... not even a growl, just a little whimper which got my attention..... 

I will never turn my back for even a second again.. I know better.. Thank you for not even growling.... You are so so good with kids, even though you prefer they don't massively attack you with hugs, you still let them....

Good New Jack... I am not dressing you up for Halloween... maybe one outfit quick picture but I won't be making you wear any hot dogs, pumpkins or monsters for any amount of time..

I would never want you to even pretend to be anything other then what you are.. An angel sent by God to be my side kick through life.....

I bought a dremel to file your nails and while you are not in love with it, you are not scared of it.. Thats my boy... Nothing to fear but fear itself.....and well maybe the big fighting dogs in the neighborhood.

THank you for the four and half years.. Please live and be healthy forever.. is that too much to ask?

Well, I have been doing Continuing Education Credits for my Nursing License all day... I refuse to give it up.... but now we are going to snuggle... 

He has a sardine and yogurt small slice of pie today.. Arn't you all jealous... YUCK.. He loved it

Lonnie, you need to watch the video of Jack the grudge holder..All i did was give him a bath.. He was so smart he wouldn't look at me until he thought I was leaving the room.... I adore him.. I am grateful too that be brought me to this group... This page is such a big part of my day and I love it...

Jack, you are one lucky --and head-over-heels adooorable -- little guy.  Your mom takes the best care of you and I know you watch over her :)  Finn thinks the promise of (almost) no Halloween costumes is a big gift! LOL May you have happy half birthdays forever.

You two definitely make a great match!  You a great Doodle Mom Jennifer and always put Jack first, even to a fault!  You need to take care of you too:)  That’s the Mom in me talking:)    He loves you so much and it is obvious in your videos and pictures.  I love the video where he is watching tv with you and he is talking/barking to the movie.  Also, my favorite, Jack getting his Easter Basket!  Sooooo sweet!
