Doggie Paddle Day at the Henderson Pool

We had an awesome time at the end of season pool closing this year. It was a little hot, but that saved us from having dripping dogs in the car :) My boy Bud took two years to warm up to the idea of stepping into water on his own. Now I can't keep him out of puddles......

Little miss Kona has not yet warmed up to the idea of swimming. She still keeps more to the edges, but started to move more and more into the water as her friends started palying and most of the other dogs had left. Yes, we did close the place and were asked to leave :) We just moved the fun to a favorite breakfast/lunch place and ate al fresca, dogs were pooped and well behaved as lunch was served. We all can't wait until next year so we can do it all again!

This is just AMAZING. Is this a wading pool just for dogs-or was this particular day designated for dogs only? What a fantastic idea. I would bring my doodle there every day! It looks like Bud had a great time!! I bet he slept well that night.
