I wonder what it is about our little black cat! He was friends with our Tibetian Terrier when we first found him outside of Bradley University in 1995. He loved to curl up and snooze inside her curled up body. She was white and it looked a little like the black and white symbol for Tao, balance.
When we got Mater he fell in love with Bradley (we named the cat for the school) too. They would rough house under the dining room table until the chairs fell over, wrestling and making a racket like the cat was dying! But Bradley would look for Mater later so that they could do it again! Then last year when Foster Pippin came we had the black and white again, curled up together or chasing each other around the house. Pippin and Bradley love each other too.
Now along comes Ozzie and it's black on black! I can't tell where one starts and the other ends! Bradley is gettin on in years now, 16 years old, but he still adores his dogs and batting them and curling up with them. Maybe that's how you can know a good dog - he has a cat that loves him. At least it sets a great example for all of us; we can play with and enjoy the company of a variety of species, colors, and beliefs. It is a good thing.

Sedona has a feline friend, too. Hercules is an old cat who needs twice-a-day treatments for a thyroid deficiency. Sedona's job is to help daddy round up Herc and then stand guard during the process. A lot of playing goes on during the rounding up process.
Sedona's also been known to share her food with Herc:
