Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I must say that when I joined this group almost 2 years ago, I never thought I would ever get this involved. I have met some wonderful people due to DoodleKisses that I never would have met otherwise. I have also met some wonderful Doodles! There are now many people who I consider to be friends that I have never actually "met".
This past weekend we had the chance to meet for the 2nd time with Sheri & Mike and their Doodles, Lucy & AnnaBelle. We met them last year when they came down to enjoy the Florida "sunshine" but at that time they had recently lost Sophie and did not have AnnaBelle. this was a much happier meeting!
This is also the 2nd time we were able to meet with the now famous Honey and her family: Guiness & Roscoe and Dane and Joyce. Last time we saw them, Honey was not able to run and play because she had recently had her surgery. Again, this was a much happier meeting! It was such a joy to see her having such a good time with everyone. She is such a sweetheart!
We could not have asked for a better day. Not a cloud in the sky and temperature in the mid 60's. The only "problem" was the previous days monsoon which left many puddles and small lakes in our beautiful dog park. None of the Doodles seemed to mind it though.
Gail & Bailey made the long trip up from Boca Raton, Fl where they are currently visiting family. I'm not sure if thats closer to us than her actual home in Indiana??! But I'm so happy that she was willing to make the drive to meet with us!
When I say "we" or "us" , I'm referring to Elizabeth & Bailey. They live here in Jacksonville too and I am grateful to be able to call Elizabeth my friend!
I'm going to quit rambling now and just show you some pics of the fun. I'm not the best photographer so I'm sure the others have better pictures but you get to see these anyway.
It's Beautiful Bailey!
And Sweet Honey
Guiness was the first to find the puddle
Guiness just wants Mike to throw that ball!
Doodle friends are the best! New and "old"
Daphne & Lucy
and Lucy tries to hide from Daphne to keep her from biting her ears
Honey, Little Bailey and Roscoe(in the background)
Little Bailey had to be corralled a few times. We dubbed her "The Wanderer"
AnnaBelle and Bailey having fun
Honey says "goodbye" to her God-Parents
Time to get rinsed off before the ride home
Lucy waiting for her turn. And of course I squirted Mike with hose right before this!
This last pic is just a bonus. My Lucy would sit for hours for some lovin'! She would much rather be rubbed than play with the others. She's getting Love from one of our Jacksonville doodle pals, Jaime.

Thanks Miss Bizzy! I can't wait to see your pics!
Great pics and blog "my friend"! I didn't realize I had changed the settings on my camera the night before and never changed them back. Most of my pics were blurry but I do have a few I will add.
It was a fun day for all. And so good to meet Gail and the Wanderer as well as Annabelle... and seeing Honey and her family doing so well warmed my heart!!!
Laurie- thank you for all your help! Maybe one day I will get to meet Fudge & Vern (oh and of course, you too)
Jane- Honey just makes my heart smile!
Miss Ellie & Robin- We are ALL truly blessed to have found this site and each other!
Janie- here in Jacksonville we are really lucky to have such a nice place for them to run and play and it is so centrally located. Makes it easy to get other Doodles to join us for fun.
F, Camilla and Cheryl- it was a great day and I know I keep saying it but we are truly blessed to be able to get together!
Sheri- Lucy is really learning to have fun. AnnaBelle is such a sweetheart and Im happy that you all have each other!
Lonnie- my Lucy loves most people more than dogs. She just lives for lovin'!
Gail- It was so nice getting to know you and your precious Bailey! You didn't even get to see the other half of the park. I guess you'll have to come back again soon!
Lori - this is awesome! Looks like a great time and I just love how DK humans and doodles come together like old friends! Great photos!
Lori, thanks for the great story about our meet up! I was so excited to meet everyone and their doodles and I had such a wonderful time! Your pictures are terrific and show how much fun the doodles had running around and playing in the puddles and getting to know one another! I loved meeting my fellow DK'rs and chatting with them as our doods played (even though I felt like half my time was spent "rounding up" my little wanderer!) The dog park was amazing! I still can't get over how much acreage there was and what a utopia it is for dogs! Thanks to everyone for planning the day and coming together for such a good time!!
Lori, this is a great story and your pictures are wonderful! I love it when Doodles, their owners and DK come together for a great day! Thanks for sharing! Your Lucy and my Libby was somehwhat the same. She likes to sit back and watch other dogs/doodles play.
Great write up and pics Lori. It was such a fun day. I'm still in shock that mine left so dirty. Just not like them to stray that far from Mom and Dad. Lucy has really come into her own on this trip. She is getting involved more and playing more. What I loved about this meet up was that we had Ohio, Indiana, Georgia and Florida all represented. Great day.
OMD, I love all of the pictures, how wonderful!!
Love all the pictures. You take excellent shots, Lori! I love that not only do the humans meet and become friends, but the Doodles do, too! I do feel like my universe of friends has expanded since I joined this group!
What a wonderful reunion! Great photos, thanks.
