Doodles teach us about our own lives

Who would think that an 82 pound chocolate labradoodle could be the inspiration for reflections on life? I have been the proud mom to Gus, for over three years. During this time he has taught me so much about myself, and about life in general. I love the way he approaches the world around him, and I love his loyal, lovable and sweet nature. He has caused me to reflect on so many things, and I plan to publish it all in a book someday soon. In the meantime, I have been writing almost daily in my blog, www.lessonsfromgus.wordpress.com

Janet, I went to your blog to check it out for a minute, and couldn't stop reading! It is so true how much we can learn from our dogs, and you have captured it all so beautifully. I cried when I read about your dad, I am so sorry for your loss. My dad is currently suffering from a prolonged terminal illness, your thoughts really touched me. I think your book will be a best seller! By the way, one of my doodles is named Gus!
