Double Duty- new puppies and a rescue!
Today was a big day over here in my world. Our Riley Doodle had her very first litter- 9 pups total! Mom and babies are all settled in for the big sleep now. 5 females and 4 males.
I had also committed to taking a Dachsund from our local shelter. His kill date would've been today. They couldn't get him placed due to a partial amputation of his front foot. Not sure how that happened, but my friend Carrie picked him up for me and he is the sweetest little guy.Holds his foot up for his dressing change and then kisses me when its all over. He is a smooth coat, red in color. I haven't thought of a name yet---anyone with a good suggestion, please send me an e-mail.
I'll post photos of all of the new children in a couple of days. For now, I am going to catch up on my beauty sleep!
