Eli our foster

Eli came to our home yesterday and I swear he is the sweetest Doodle ever! Just a bundle of Doodle love. Gave him bath,he was so good,cleaned his wounds, shaved his wounds,cleaned his ears. He just let me do what I wanted.

He has some training,sit, down,he knows what a leash is. Last night be bought his leash to Brian to take him out! For me he goes to the door and whimpers. I did not walk he and Jordan together today they both went separately. I think I will try that tomorrow. Jordan is a great walker and is used to walking with another dog.

I took him to my inlaws they have 2 acres fully fenced.He will not come to him name outside which I knew already,but that can we worked on. He has had some bathroom issues today,but also to be expected.

He needs his confidence, he is skittish to people and very head shy.He is beginning to understand that water is always out, and he does not have to drink it to empty. I will take him to be weighed tomorrow. You can feel all his bones.He is so underweight. :(

I have not fostered since I was a teenager with Dad. I so enjoy rehabbing dogs so they can go to their forever homes.

Oh and I took a 3hr nap today, woke up to a doodle on right and doodle on my left with a cat by head <3

Adina, LOL I dont have kids that is why I can take a 3hr nap....My girlfriend has twins (1 year olds) I told her about my nap I thought she was going to throw the bottles she was making at me :) Her husband told me he Hates me!
Eli is so good, just some kinks to work out.
I thank DRC for letting us help him. I enjoy fostering as hard as it is to say good bye at the end. He will make someones family whole for sure.

Tante, thank you so much for taking this doodle into your home and into your heart this holiday season. He is very lucky to be with you. He is just soooo cute. I don't remember reading anything on him before, but I am just so happy that he has a warm safe home with a loving Mom to help him get back to being a healthy and happy doodle....Thank you, for helping this little guy...

Awww...sounds like you're really going to help Eli put his best paw forward. Those first few days when they are so scared and just start to see what their life could/should be like can be pretty heartbreaking but so worth it! Thanks so much for helping this sweet boy out!
