FILMING DAY!

What an exciting and amazing day - and exhausting! On Monday the film crew and producer came buy, along with people from the publicity company and Purina. They played with Mater and took some video while they filled us in on the plan. Then yesterday they arrived at 8 am, along with Lighting and Grip, the animal humane observer and the marketing company (about 20 people in all), and started the day. Mater worked like a pro for them. It was really fun to watch. Since Tom is Mater's obedience trainer (I do the agility and therapy work), he worked with the film crew. The film crew was amazing - great guys with a real eye for a shot as well as a love for dogs. Harvest Films has worked with many athletes, but loves the animal work too and I could see why. We finally wrapped it up at 8 PM after a very long day but one that was very productive. We felt like we had many new friends and awesome memories. And we are so proud of Mater!

Wow! That's exciting! I'll have to look for the commercial on Thanksgiving. Glad you and Mater (love the name btw) had a great time.

Yes; Mater was one of three winners in the Mighty Dog Nation video contest. He and the other two will be in a commercial to be aired on Thanksgiving Day during the National Dog Show on NBC. Then sometime after that a "Dog-umentary" starring all three dogs will be posted on the Mighty Dog Nation website. His winning video is posted there now.
