I took Finn for a grooming. I'm OK with the body but his head looks gargantuous. They left it all poofy. His head doesn't look right on his body. I may try to fix it or take him back. What I did notice was that he has a ton of colours in his coat. His head is red with blond highlights on his face. His body is chocolate and his tail is chocolate with blond highlights.

The groomer said he was starting to grow his winter adult coat but I thought it was too soon for that. He is only 5 months old.

I was going to do the snuffleupagus for Halloween but that is now out of the question. He was perfect before. Here are the before and after pics.

Aw... he's so cute either way! We had this challenge with Penny over and over, till I asked the groomer how to describe what I wanted. She said, "Oh! Just remind me to 'blend the head.' Meaning NOT a big poofy cap, but make it about the same length as the rest of the coat. Hope that helps!

He is perfect now too. Need a foster mom for a weekend, Linda?

I think he is adorable, and his color is amazing! Maybe you can use some gel on his head and make him a rooster for Halloween! :-)

Perhaps try squirting his head and scrunching the damp fur. That should change the poof somewhat.
