Just got back from our first 30 minute agility lesson. Being I went into this basically not knowing what to expect, I sure got a shocking revelation. Seems its more on the handlers to get their moves down correctly; as Riley picked up his end relatively quickly. As I am typing this, I am also thinking about the three moves I am supposed to be proficient on for next class.

There was a miniature poodle that was training just prior to our lesson. I couldn't believe how GREAT she was, and was enjoying every second of it. The owner has been training for a year and a half, doesn't compete that much but when she does she always cleans house.

Trainer said she almost can see Riley's wheels turning thinking through things. I really like the savvy and knowledge of our trainer. Can't wait till next session, and practicing with Sir Riley.

At this 1st lesson, all we have to do is practice walking over a bar/broom stick and practicing an inward turn. No equipment needed at this very early stage. Everything to do with your hand motions.

Sounds like so much fun! Good way to get rid of lots of energy. Will you have somewhere with equipment that you can practice between classes or how does that work?
