Houdini Dog

Houdini Dog; Riley can now open doors. Our house is an older vintage with glass door knobs. He jumps up and puts his paws around the door knob and works it back and forth until the door opens. Saw him working at it and using his paws in this holding maneuver, didn't think anything of it. When I yelled at my daughter that she didn't close the door tight, as he hits the door with his body to open it when not latched completely. My daughter said it was shut, so I went back and made sure this time it was latched. Took him 10 seconds to re-open the door to get to the grand-kids and what they where eating. After doing this 2 or more times: I decide to get the camera. Guess what, wouldn't do it with camera in hand. But I promise within the next few days I will get the footage.

My Lab was very smart, but I have never had a dog sit back and study a situation and assimilate the problem and come up with a plan. It's like a criminal casing a joint.
