First Grooming - Hold on to your Hat....It's SHORT!!

Chase had his first hiarcut today!! His coat was lovely, but was gettting to be such a challenge keeping it mat free. After much persuading, my husband agreed to let me get him clipped. After talking with the groomer, we decided it would be good if we could get away with having him done twice a year - great. But, this means taking him right down!! He looks so funny!! I asked her not to shave his face, so she left some hair there but now I think that looks funny - too much like a Schnauzer, so we may trim that after a couple of days deciding!! His coat is so so shirt, but velvety soft. She said he was very nervous, but did really well. He was frightened of the dryer, so we have to work on that. We got a lady who comes in a specialised truck right to your house and does the whole thing there on the driveway - no leaving him in a crate anywhere - awesome!! My husband, who is at work, it not so sure about it though, I juse e-mailed him a couple of pictures and he's not too happy!! (But, he isn't the one who has to brush him for 2 hours every couple of days!!).

He looks good. And now it will be easier to keep up with the grooming, and take much less time, while it grows out again. And I don't think his face looks too long. It still gives him that doodle look.

I think Chase looks great, he's a handsome boy! I've had to do the same thing with Blaze a few times and it does grow back pretty quickly.

He is adorable!!! I agree, it is not worth the frustration once the coat get's past a certain length. Kona was
getting tangled and a little matted and got shaved today. Can't wait to see my velvet dog when I get home.
I love the different looks as they grow out, tell your hubby it won't take long for it to grow longer :)

He looks so neat and trim! It grows back so fast, so don't fret and enjoy all your spare time playing with him instead of having to brush him so much.

I think Chase looks adorable...tail could be a little longer but he looks cute.
