Good Doodles

So the other day Smudge and I went to my sisters for a play date with her Daisy doodle.  Now my sister usually comes here with Daisy for play dates, but Smudge and I went there instead because she needed help moving some furniture.  So Daisy and Smudge were playing and running and having a blast when I looked over and on the bench by the window was her cat, Sassy just snoozing away.  I said to my sister, "Smudge hasn't seen Sassy there yet, I wonder how she will act when she does" and we laughed and carried on with our furniture moving.  Now I had a cat for 16 yrs, and I sadly lost her on July 5, 2010, that was about 2 months before we got Smudge.  Lucy and Magnet lived withudge sniffed her and walked away.  I was SHOCKED!  She didn't find her interesting in the least bit. The cat jumped down and walked through the house, and Smudge still didn't pay her any attention.  I wasn't expecting to freak out or anything, but I at least expected her to at least want to check her out a little.  Nope, nothing.   I was so proud of her :)

So, I had set Simone, so they had been around cats.  Magnet LOVES cats, too much.  Poor Simone was old and slow and Magnet in her puppy days just wanted to play.  Simone was not having play time at all.  Lucy and Simone were real buddies.  Lucy would lay there and groom her and clean her ears lol.  We have several wild cats around outside here and the dogs just go nuts when the cut through our yard.  They act like they are gonna tear them up lol.  Therefore, the wild cats running through the yard is the only cats Smudge had been subjected to.  After a few hours I went over and sat on the bench and loved on Sassy.  Smudge walked up to me, looked at her when Sassy sat up and stretched, Sm up a grooming appt with my groomer for my other sister's 2 doodles, Mabel and Luna.  Luna is Daisy doodle's litter mate and they are now 8 months old.  This was Luna's first official groom, other than some scissor cutting at home.  When we went to pick them up from my groomer Laura, she did nothing but rant and rave about how good Luna was.  She was in love.  Mabel doesn't like her fact messed with, so she was a little more of a challenge to groom.  But she said Luna was PERFECT.  She said she jumped on the table for her, and she never noosed (sp?) her at all through the whole groom she sat still and never moved a muscle, but was completely relaxed the whole time.  

The point of this blog, is to shout to the world, I LOVE DOODLES!!!  I am soo proud of my family's 6 doodles.  They have been the funnest easiest puppies to raise, and I am truly thankful for them.  I am proud of them all :)
