Tomorrow is Good Friday, and I hope it is just that.
Jess will have a scan to see what his heart is doing. He is being weaned off Milrinone, which is a medication to support left ventricular function .
Today was going great. Jess was motivated to do his walker walk and also spent ten minutes on a reclined elliptical machine. He work with two male P.T.s, who were talking to Jess like personal trainers. Jess felt motivated and really saw progress from his week in hindsight.
In the afternoon Jess had an assessment of his right ventricle pressure. This test is done daily. Although there has been no change in his readings, this nurse explained that his heart was weak. ( think we knew this) It was her delivery that threw us both. I knew her words took Jess aback --- after such a great day. Maybe we didn't want to get smacked in the face with reality. His lungs are clear and his oxygen is usually at 100. These are good things. There is the indication of fluid retention -- not visible. We are then told "you can't always see it."
By appearance, Jess looks unbelievable. But we will see what the scan tells us tomorrow.
Hoping tomorrow is a "Good Friday" for all.
Doodle kisses and sweet dreams, J, J, P and H.
