Maddie, the hunter was at it again.  This evening she came to the sliding glass door and I let her in only to see a small baby animal of some kind on the step. I couldn't tell what is was without looking really close which I didn't want to do.  I call DH to get rid of it while Maddie went into the livingroom.   I  took her to  familyroom downstairs  Then I see her drop something.....another baby.  I call DH to get this one and take her back to the kitchen .....Gross.   THEN.....as I walk around the corner into the living room/dining room I see TWO MORE babies. she had left on the floor.  They were dead but DH said they were still warm.  Double Gross.

Little did I know when I let her in that she had dropped the only the 4th newborn bunny she had in her mouth.  She had carried them gently brought them  into the rooms like she does her toys and socks.  I wish she would stop bringing "gifts" and you would think the stupid rabbit would know better than to have her babies in yard with a doodle.

oh yuk and double yuk!!  I'm starting to hate those cute bunnykins, why do they have to look so cute...wouldn't be so bad if they were hairless ugly creatures!

Yuck, ewww, gross.

I am so glad Daisy is part chicken and does not "chase" all I have to do is stay stop if she even thinks about it.

Rabbits really do make poor parenting decisions, which is why they need to multiply like rabbits. They make such shallow nest and in pretty obvious places. Maddie was just being a dog.

She was trying to be gentle, but bunnies are such delicate creatures. This reminds me of the time when my son and his friend decided to try and hatch some duck eggs by sitting on them. No ducklings just scrambled eggs.

There is something so disconcerting about seeing your sweet puppy with something dead in its mouth. Fudge did this not long ago. I think this is the week for rabbits. I wrote a discussion about our own "Stewpid" rabbit that is taunting our Fudge. I would not want those gifts either.
