Guinness is no longer a puppy! The little Dood turned two on Thursday. He and I celebrated...alone...yesterday. We spent the afternoon together and I think he really needed that one-on-one attention. We had a great time. We went to Pet Smart (one of his favorite places) and I let him smell everything...absolutely no heeling required for his birthday celebration. We picked out a few new toys which will be "history" by the end of the weekend. Then we had to go to the specialty dog store to get a back pack for his brother (trainer's suggestion). The owner game him a beef jerky (the first one he's ever tasted). He normally doesn't get treats like that because of his tummy issues. There was a Golden and a Lab also in the store, and we let the dogs play off leash for a while. He loved meeting some new buddies. The owner threw an extra jerky in my bag to take home for Murph. I put the bag in my closet and forgot about it. Apparently Guinness didn't. Sometime after I was asleep he found his way into the closet, hunted down the bag which was hidden way in the back, and got the jerky. DH actually caught him hiding with it when he came up to bed. Apparently there was quite a "scene" as DH took it away from him....very naughty! I have a feeling the trainer will say no more bed privileges for Guinness either. So here are four "facts" about the birthday boy....one isn't true. Can you guess which one?

I'm going to have to go with #3 as well as I recall some story about not even liking a bandanna! Sounds like you had a wonderful day! Birthday wishes from Lucy and Sophie!
Happy Birthday Guinness, it sounds like you and your mom had a fun day. Did mom sing you Happy Birthday like she was supposed to? I also think number three is a lie, seems I remember how your mom keeps saying you won't cooperate when she tries to dress you up for special occassions. I can believe you like going to the vet, Quincy does too, he pretty much pulls me into the building, I'm not sure if it's the cats that hang out there or the treats.
Here's an Irish blessing for your birthday.
May good luck be your friend
In whatever you do. (like finding treats hidden in the closet)
And may trouble be always
A stranger to you.
