Happy Halloween!

Yesterday we took Darwin to his daycare Halloween party. There were trick-or-treat bags, bobbing for hot dogs, a costume contest and lots of pet vendors. We even won a free grooming (a full groom!) which made me VERY happy considering my last attempt at grooming Darwin. He went with his best friend Maui, a Lab/Golden mix he has known since he was a puppy. I really wanted to take him as "the nerd" but could not figure out how to keep those darn glasses on him! I kind of felt that without the glasses the nerd costume would be pointless so I started looking for an alternative.

Someone posted on DK about a cute Halloween costume for 2 dogs and I realized Darwin and Maui could wear matching costumes! Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr Seuss! Darwin already had the hair, so we just sprayed him with blue spray, and Maui wore a wig. They were a big hit and they had so much fun together! Actually, they had so much fun that they absolutely refused to sit still. So the photos are kind of wonky but you get the idea. :-)

This is a wonderful Halloween Story. I am truly so happy for these dogs who are having a great time together while still entertaining humans. Thanks for the story

Those sure are best friends! I love when Darwin is laughing or whatever he is doing. It looks like he is out of control laughing to me! Very cute photos and it looks like they had a great time. I wish we had something here that is for dogs! We don't do daycare or any thing like that so I guess we miss out :(
