Hey all, just wanted to post another photo update of Darwin! He turned 5 in May which is completely crazy to me - I can't believe it's been 5 years! In some ways he still seems so puppyish - as the photos will demonstrate. Yet in other ways he has definitely grown. Here are some of the ways he has changed and the ways he hasn't.

Finals are over, it's getting cold (REAL cold!) and the holidays are here! Things could not be better. I thought I'd post an small update on Darwin, and add our holiday cards for this year.

One of the best parts of summer is being able to head into the canyon to hike and play in the water! It's one of Darwin's favorite places to be, and we all come home tired and filthy. This is the first time we've been this year because it's closed for the winter and it takes a while for all of the vegetation to come back. This past week we were SO lucky to be able to head to St. George for our spring break! It was a much needed vacation, and it was SO amazing to pull into town and have it be above 60 degrees!

Do you guys remember that website that Nancie's (Nancie and Gracie Doodle) daughter made for dog lovers? Well I'm excited to say that I was accepted to be a "pack leader" for Goldendoodles and Labradoodles. What this means, is that I'll write weekly e-mails with fun photos, videos and Doodle gifts that I scout out during the week. I'm really excited to do this. Well, the temperature has gone up to a toasty 30 degrees and the snow has started to fall. Darwin is loving it, he wants to be out romping in the snow constantly!

Coming off of the beginning of school, having colds, and just being busy in general, we haven't been able to let him have a really good romp, only for a few minutes here or there. This is a bit late, but I thought I'd post a before and after of Darwin's latest haircut. He got really long this time, longer than we usually let him get. I kept him thoroughly brushed thanks to the LP brush, but I knew we'd have to cut him because of snowballs, plus he was starting to look.. not like Darwin. he he.

So the local (and huge) dog park opened, it's right behind the shelter I volunteer at. Well, today when I was at the shelter I noticed there was a bunch of doodles around! I had DH bring Darwin so he could play with them.

I was SO excited when I found out that I won the Les Poochs brush in the Pet Flow contest! I have been wanting one for so long but honestly I've never been able to justify the cost. It was exactly the prize I would choose to win, I can't even say how happy I was.
