Harlow can’t figure out why her brothers don’t want to play tonight.

The Boys both had to have minor surgery today. Baxter to remove a mole from his flew and Sherlock a sebaceous tumor (warty looking thing) from his right rear leg. I am told both moles and sebaceous tumors are quite common in older Beagles (the Boys are almost 9). We took the Boys to the vet because both mole and wart appeared about 3 months ago and were growing. We wanted to make sure it was nothing serious.

Anyway, both had to be sedated to remove growths and are rather groggy tonight. To say the least neither is in the mood to romp and play with Harlow. She is very confused that the Boys don’t want to play when they go outside. But she is also being very sweet and gentle, washing their ears and bringing them toys and chew bones while the Boys lay on their pillows looking a wee bit drunk. Tonight she has a new nickname… ‘Nurse Harlow’.

Boys are feeling much better tonight. They are still a bit off their food but definitely more chipper than last night or this morning.

That is sweet...dogs are so smart and intuitive it sometimes scares me!

how cute, amazing how they pick up on taking care of each other when one does not feel good. Hope the boys are feeling better and ok to play soon with Harlow.
