Harlow has the Zoomies

This frigid weather has given Harlow a major case of the zoomies. It doesn’t matter if the boys are out with her or not. She flies around the backyard, bouncing, spinning and leaping over low bushes. She will stay outside for over 30 minutes until I bundle up, get the leash and go get her. The boys on the other hand hate the cold and stay outside just long enough to do their business. Every now and then Harlow gets to play a bit. This is only because she blocks the back steps so the boys can’t get in right away. But the boys are litter mates and have learned well how to work as a team. They will run in opposite directions luring Harlow away from the steps. The one not being chased will then dash up the back steps in the house.

I received a small digital camera that takes both still shots and video. I think I got some video of Harlow’s zoomies. Now I need to read the user’s guide to figure out how to edit and upload to DK.

Agnes gets the zoomies when it rains, snows, and/or is excessively cold... I guess she likes the cold/wet sensations. It cracks me up to see her run around like a maniac!

I think they ALL love the cold weather! Have you noticed how warm their bellies are when they lay on you like a blanket???? And....Samson lays on the foyer slate right by the front door....it is cold there!!! I can't get over it!

Callie has been the same! I take her leash off and she'll start running around like a crazy doodle! She just seems to love the cold weather too! SO cute that Harlow was trying to block the stairs...that's clever!

[Allyson, Peri & Taquito]

Peri has been back on the zoomie train since the cold weather started (I mean the recent cold spell in the south - hello 8 degrees!!!). She hadn't had one for months, the past week they are occurring at least every other day! HA! Please figure out how to post your footage:)

[Karen, Jasper and Jackdoodle]

Snow is the only thing that gives Jackdoodle the zoomies. I had to shovel a path in the backyard for him yesterday, the snow was up to his belly, and he was loving every minute of it! He got half the yard cleared just plowing through it! Wish I'd video'd it, I can't wait to see yours!

[Dan, Judi, & Timbow]

Timbow is getting the zoomies too! He loves this cold weather and I can imagine it feels great to him and Harlow since they have such long coats. :-) I cannot wait to see Harlow's pictures! How funny that she is trying to keep the boys outside...silly doodle!
