Harlow the Doodle Ambassador...

I am so proud of our Harlow. Yesterday our ‘Edward Jones’ guy (I can never remember his name) stopped past the house to deliver some financial information for us. This was the first time he has dropped by the house since we brought Harlow home. He was very fascinated by Harlow; asking all sorts of questions and ooing and awing over her as she stood behind the glass storm door. Because our beagles are overly exuberant greeters I usually step outside to chat with passersbys. Edward Jones guy asked if she was soft so I let Harlow out on the front porch ready to catch if she decided to jump on him or worse take off. But she was the perfect little lady. She sat on command and politely sniffed his hand. She didn’t try to shower him with kisses when he bent down to scratch her. As he and I continued to talk Harlow lay down and watched us quietly. Edward Jones guy kept saying over and over “I can’t believe she is only 7 months old! She is so calm”. Harlow was the perfect Doodle Ambassador and succeeded in creating another Doodle Convert.

Jump on him or worse take off. I know how that is. I am trying to train Ozzie to sit or lay when people approach him but haven't found the best technique yet because he gets so excited. Lab lovers tell me it is the poodle and then poodle lovers tell me it is the lab.

WTG Harlow Miss Doodle Ambassador, keep up the great training..whatever your doing..it must be working. I bet you could see your smile for miles away. Did Harlow get special treats for being such a good girl.
