Harper is not even 4 months old and in need of a new home. A BYB was going to take her to a kill shelter because she supposedly has a leak issue. She wouldn't of had a chance there. Harper' leak issue is more than likely due to the terrible UTI she is suffering with. Which in turn caused urine burn and yellowing of the fur on her hind legs, butt and tail. I can only imagine that because of the leak issue she was more than likely kept in a crate a lot and not given much water. The poor thing was dehydrated she couldn't walk past a water dish without taking a drink. Apparently food was not very plenty for her either. Harper was a competitive eating machine and gave Apollo a run for his biscuits. I could have entered her in a food eating contest and won some money. Once Harper realized food got served 3-4 times a day she started slowing down to taste the food before it hits her belly.
Harper loves to play in the snow and will probably be the rough & tumble girl like Clover. She is a persistent little girl. Last night Apollo was trying to get a drink of water but Harper kept butting in and taking over the water dish. Apollo let her do it several times before talking to her. Most pups would back away a few feet. Not little Miss Harper, she stood right next to Apollo starring at him. Apollo finally decided to give her the water bowl and go get a drink in the other room. If Clover or Apollo has something she wants they end up giving it to her. Clover and Apollo even include her when playing tug-a-war. Harper gets underneath one of them and pulls on the part that is hanging down. Harper is a little much for the Yorkie' Simon and Daze, but Mae West says bring it on. They both do the puppy bow with butts in the air, tails wagging and bounce around barking at each other. So all in all Harper is a typical playful puppy.

What a sweetie she looks like and so are you for opening your heart and home to her! Thanks to people like you who are willing to take that extra step she is well on her way to wholeness:o)
@Jane...Lexi has been a busy girl herself. DH has been home enjoying Winter layoff and bought a snowmobile. The first thing Lexi said "Mom, I can't wait to drive that snowmobile. It goes really fast!!!". DD & DH have been having a lot of fun together not to mention Clover & Apollo. All four of them four wheeling or what Lexi calls a walkabout. They walk up the cornfield to the woods. I'm beginning to think she watches to much Discovery Channel, LOL.
@Laurie, Thanks! I have been back to work for 4 months now and 2 of those months were spent in training. My schedule has finally eased up a little. Hopefully I can spend more time enjoying DK.
Harper is a gorgeous little girl. Thank you for taking such good care of her and bringing her through such a horrific ordeal.
@Doris...Yes, she is still leaking, but has only been taking anitbiotics for 4 days. It's possible she may need to take medication to help build muscle control back up. If she does the vet doesn't believe she will have to take it forever. I got her insurance that should be transferable just in case.
Sounds like she is getting some much needed love, attention and socialization. And confidence too!
Wow, What a wonderful thing you are doing. What a lucky girl Harper is to find her way to you. She is stunning!
Oh what a sweet baby!!! Thank you - isn't enough for all that you are doing!!!
She is such an adorable pup!! Her pictures just melt your heart. I'm sure there are lots of families that would be thrilled to have her.
Oh Tina, she is absolutely beautiful! It just blows me away to think she was headed for a kill shelter. Here you go again, helping a wonderful Doodle to get ready for a new family and a life she deserves. You are so special. How is "my girl" Lexi? Has she dressed this puppy up yet?
