Harper's first (accidental) hair cut!

So we took Harper into Petsmart to get her final "puppy package" grooming. This typically includes a bath, brush/dry out, nail trim, ear cleaning and cute little bow. Since she isn't quite 5 months old, she still definitely has that puppy look, and is such a cute little fluffball! She has however been matting a little lately, and there were a few under her chin that we haven't been able to fully take care of when brushing her at home...

Well Zach brought her in while I was at work, and told them NOT to trim/cut her in any way, because we love her long hair and fluffy little face.

We pick her up and...THEY CUT ALL OF HER ADORABLE HAIR OFF OF HER FACE!!! Of course I absolutely freaked when I saw her, because she looked so strange...but-you can actually see her eyes! After freaking out for 5 minutes or so, I realized that she actually looked pretty darn cute. So although they completely ignored everything we said, I am kind of happy with how she looks...although she still does have a few mats under her chin that are driving me bonkers. I don't think we'll continue going to Petsmart, but I've got to hand it to them for giving us quite the pleasant surprise today!

Ever heard the song Blinded by the light! I just love our long doodle hair and try to trim his eyes so he doesn't look all sheep dog but I think there is a happy medium and one day I'll find it!! I use my sons(don't tell) beard trimmer to do under his chin just to thin it out and take a little off the length. I love the chocolatey good flavour (I mean colour) of your little dood.

Harper looks adorable! That also happened to us with the first puppy grooming, and also at PetSmart. Now we go to Petco, and I use the zip groom so I can watch what they're doing. Consider yourself lucky, they actually shaved Guinness's face. It was very sad.
