He walks
O.K. -- with the assistance of a tall wheeled walker, belted, with the O.T. and P.T. -- but hey-- it's a great start. He walked about 50 feet!
Jess had a good day today. I believe he is aware that his life will not be the same as he is grateful to be alive, with awareness of his miracle. As he strengthens, in time his heart can also grow stronger. The topic of transplant waits as his focus is to rebuild.
I am tired tonight so this will be short. I will head to Mayo after work tomorrow -- a full day with the kids.

Had a terrible morning and totall forgot to check the klein blog - OMG!!!! I am so thrilled for 50' - it must have seen like a football field for Jess. What a wonderful start!!
