I thinks I have done BIG WRONGS this time!! My daddy got a new pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I thought they looked a little crooked on his face so when him and mommy went to dinner last night I adjusted them for him :-) I was trying to be a good girl!! He left them right on the counter for me - or so I thought.

I must not have done a very good job. They came home and he was MAD! Mommy said "Hunter, what did you do?" She has this "special" voice when she says that to me. I knew I must not have done a good job, mommy made me go outside while daddy tried to fix his sunglasses. He couldn't fix them and mommy says they were $275. She told me I am going to need "BAIL MONEY" and that doesn't sound good....... any of my doddle buddies know about this bail money? What is a doodle to do????

Mommy tries all these fun tricks and puts stuff on the counters just for me ~ she puts cookie sheets with spoons and forks and they make lots of fun noise when they fall down. Then she puts up cans with string, when those fall I drag them around the house! If I am really lucky she will squirt me with the water bottle when I get up on the counter!!!

I hope she comes up with more fun counter games :-)

Love, Hunter

Ps. Don't forget about that "Bail Money" she said something about Korea too - hhmmm wonder what that's all about......

Thank you so much Lorraine! I will give that a shot - they weren't prescriptions fortunately. My husband in his anger had thrown them in the trash but I fished them out when he was in the other room hoping I could do something with them! They truly look hopeless but its worth it if that is what the rep told you :-) {{HUGS}}} From Hunter - she is the one that should be saying thank you! LOL

I work at an optometrist office that sells Maui Jims. The rep that came in told us that there is a very good warranty on them. Take them back to where you got them and ask them to contact their rep for a warranty pair. By the sounds of our rep it shouldn't be a problem. If there was a prescription in them I don't know if it would cover the lenses too or not. Well worth a try. They don't want to advertise the generousity of the warranty to extremes like this but they did share with us a few instances that were covered without question. I think this would be one of those instances.

Hunter, After reading your post, I fixed Mom's sunglasses yesterday. They were her good ones, (but not Maui Jim's) She wasn't happy and a bit sarcastic. Something about how could the sunglasses possibly withstand my "100 lb doodle butt" (I'm only 99 lbs ...geez). She later apologized for leaving them on the car seat where I could sit on them.

Hunter, I think Tori has the right idea! Your mom should tell your dad that the reason you are always trying to fix things around the house is that you don't have enough to do; if you had a brother, you would be busy with him and would probably have to retire from your "fix-it" business!

Hunter ~ Maybe if you give your Dad even MORE kisses and cuddles he will melt... Whisper to Mommy to tell Daddy that if you had a brother you wouldn't have time to fix ANYTHING! You'd be way too busy playing and helping your little brother! That's what I hear my mom tell my dad, but I think my dad has to take those black wire things out of HIS ears - 'cause he's not hearing her - maybe if I fix those, he'll hear her better... well...maybe I better not. I'm not as good of a fixer as you are! Good luck!

Today I heard mommy had been trying to talk daddy into getting a buddy for me - he is 6 months old and was from the same mommy and daddy-doggies I was from so he would have been my real life brother. Daddy isn't hearing any of it right now since I fixed the glasses :-( Had I known that maybe I would have just left the glasses crooked and not tried to help him. HoooHummmm now I gotta be even extra better - it would have been fun to have a brother.

I am going to be looking for that brown "bail" truck today - it comes here A LOT! You doods are all so smart, I knew you could help me out. Daddy let me lick his ice-cream bowl last night after he was done so he must still love me :-)

Hunter - I am not asleep, and I know what Korea is - Roo was right, just last night Mom made Korea beef and Dad grilled it - it was really good. You are going to love it. I am pretty sure bail is the stuff the people in the white truck bring and stick in the box on our house. It's not very fun, but it is very fun to bark at the truck. The is a brown truck that brings stuff too, which is even more fun because the man who drives the brown stuff always has dog bones for us. Come to think of it that must be right, because I am pretty sure the white truck is mail and bail would be mail with bones. Watch for that truck. It doesn't come everyday, but it has squeeky brakes so you will hear it. People, even nice ones like my mom and dad are not very predictable. My mom and dad laugh like crazy when I grab the toilet paper and drag it through the house. But if I drag tha laundry through the house that's not funny. I love to hear them laugh, it makes me jump straight up and then they laugh harder, so mostly I stick to the toilet paper. The laundry is usually behind a gate anyway.

I've been had again. Mom bought us a new bed to share. Roo just said I was asleep so he can spread out over the whole thing - gotta go Tigger
