I thinks I have done BIG WRONGS this time!! My daddy got a new pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I thought they looked a little crooked on his face so when him and mommy went to dinner last night I adjusted them for him :-) I was trying to be a good girl!! He left them right on the counter for me - or so I thought.

I must not have done a very good job. They came home and he was MAD! Mommy said "Hunter, what did you do?" She has this "special" voice when she says that to me. I knew I must not have done a good job, mommy made me go outside while daddy tried to fix his sunglasses. He couldn't fix them and mommy says they were $275. She told me I am going to need "BAIL MONEY" and that doesn't sound good....... any of my doddle buddies know about this bail money? What is a doodle to do????

Mommy tries all these fun tricks and puts stuff on the counters just for me ~ she puts cookie sheets with spoons and forks and they make lots of fun noise when they fall down. Then she puts up cans with string, when those fall I drag them around the house! If I am really lucky she will squirt me with the water bottle when I get up on the counter!!!

I hope she comes up with more fun counter games :-)

Love, Hunter

Ps. Don't forget about that "Bail Money" she said something about Korea too - hhmmm wonder what that's all about......

Hunter, - I know just what you mean. I fixed my mom's prescription sunglasses and she was not at all appreciative. I don't know what "bail" is - some kind of a new ball maybe, or maybe it makes a noise like a clicker and korea is a new kind of treat. Anyway nevermind about the sunglasses, next time help her finish making the bed by throwing all the pillows on the floor. My mom really likes that one a lot. As soon as I throw them on the floor she retreives them and puts them on the bed for me to throw again. I guess she like to retrieve things as much as I do.

Kisses, Roo ( Tigger is asleep again)

Hunter ~ I know what you mean... some moms and dads are just so unappreciative! I've tried to do laundry, tighten up a loose screw, and even lighten up the garbage load, just to name a few of my 'accomplishments'... but take it from ME - you should NEVER do what I did... I tried to eat the evidence of my foils and that only ended me in a room with strange people who stuck things in me and even gave me a needle (I hate needles) to throw up. And just like a magician, I made those things reappear...except the screw that went all the way through t0 - uhem- my other end (if you know what I mean). Maybe you should do what I promised to do... just stick to what you do best - like catching balls or Frisbees!

Hunter...this all will pass and your parents will still love you. When I was a puppy and into counter surfing my first thing I took was the Thanksgiving Turkey. Then an avocado and after that I chewed up my daddy's PDA cell phone and not one, but two TV/VCR remote controls!! After that I couldn't figure out why the kitchen counters were completely stripped of everything...and I mean everything! My mom put the wooden block of knives in the upper oven that they never use. She was so afraid I would enjoy the wood on the handles and come home to a bloody Doodle. Not one thing was left on any of the counters for the next 6 months. I was no longer in a crate and when they were not home I had the kitchen with a doggie door to the patio to hang out and roam in. Forget the huge basket of toys they left out for me! I took the cell phone out to the patio and my daddy spent hours looking for all the pieces...didn't matter though, he had to get a new one. Now I am 3 years old and I don't take or touch one thing that is not mine. They can leave shoes, flip flops, phones...anything they want out and I won't take it. Not even food on the counter and I NEVER jump up and put my paws on the counter. My mommy always leaves full grocery bags on the floor and I could care less about them. I am a very good girl and they constantly remind themselves how lucky they are! Sad, sweet puppy looks always work. They can't resist us!

Hunter, I ate my mom's Maui Jim sunglasses and her bi-focals and at least 3 pairs of cheap reading glasses. I have to admit the Maui Jim's tasted the best. But seriously, just give those sad puppy eyes and maybe a couple sad whimpers and you should be OK. Wishing you much luck, Harlow.

Darwin, I would teach but your mom and dad will unappreciative of your new talent, I just don't get it - why don't they just put the stuff on the floor then we wouldn't have to put our noses up on the counters! Geez!

Can't blame a dood for trying to help. I've tried to straighten a few pairs of glasses for my Mom too, it didn't work. Lucky for me she only buys cheap reading glasses. Your other friends are right, those sad puppy dog eyes really do work.

Hunter, what is this counter surfing thing your talking about? Will you show me how to do it? My mom says I'm not allowed to learn how, or even ask about it, but we'll keep it a secret.... - Darwin.

p.s. I fixed an 80 dollar battery cable once for my mom, she was so ungrateful!

Leslie, I don't think Maui Jim would even recoginize them - they were BAD. At least 10 different pieces. Luckily she is a chewer but not an eater so all of the pieces are there. I had to send another of his pairs back a few months ago and it was EXPENSIVE for just a few minor repairs.

Oh well, your Dad just needs to realize that you are training him - doodle style. Grouch Too did the same thing with my new pair of bifocals that I left on the nightstand by my bed (with my book, of course). So hopefully your dad learned that glasses always go on top of a cabinet or inside. Oh, and the parents also need to learn that going out for them means putting out new toys for you. There is a stash of toys behind the couch and when we run out of toys on the floor, we go behind the couch and pull out some old ones.
