Hilarous Meeting

We are helping Michelle Long by doggie sitting her foster goldendoodle, Bailey, while Michelle is visiting family over the Spring break.  Bailey is an absolutely darling 11-month old female doodle but, we have a four pound 14-week old Maltese puppy that we were a bit concerned about.  We weren't worried that Bailey would do anything to hurt the pup on purpose but, a 30-pound dog could easily hurt a small pup by accident.

 

Not to worry, we introduced the pup to Bailey in our yard and Bailey took one look at the pup, put her tail between her legs and took off running away.  It was hilarous wit that tiny pup chasing the doodle, with the pup wanting to play and the Bailey not wanting anything to do with Sammy.  I wish I had my video camera.

 

Bailey and Sammy are now friends and Bailey is quite gentle with the pup.  Bailey is laying down by my computer desk right now and the pup is climbing all over her.  I just LOVE doodles.  We have had five doodles in our lives, four fosters and Holly.  Every one of the doods has been just great with our little Maltese.

 

Holly and Bailey, of course, get along like they have been raised together.

Sounds like the usual happy chaos at the Crowe rescue mission : ) Richard, do you ever say no to anyone? You and your wife are the most caring and generous couple whether it's fostering or giving photography advice and I'm sure other things we don't even know about.

Cooper is very gentle with our cats - she is 60lbs and our 3 cats are 10-15lbs. It amazes me too just how gentle they can be!
