As you may have seen it has been terrible weather in Australia, on the East coast at this time. Catastrophic fire danger, The temperature on our back patio was 40o C and just under 50oC in the back yard(not sure how accurate our weather station is), There 137 fires burning in the State, some deliberately lit ( I won't say what I would like to do to those criminals) Jasper stayed inside in front of the AC, almost had to force him out for toilet breaks. Last night the temp went down a bit and we had the AC going in the bedroom so who do you think kicked and wriggled his way into the coolest spot on the bed. We turned it off for a while at one stage and woke to find Jasper with his paws on the pillows looking up at the AC and chirping, it got turn on again and he settled down again. And some say Dogs aren't smart.

I saw on one of the morning shows this morning that they had to come up with another color for the weather map because your temperatures were so darn hot. I hate hot weather, so I feel for you. Sorry about the fires.

Wow!  Fifty degrees C would be 122 F!!  I was in Las Vegas once when it was close to 120 so I know how hot and miserable that can be.  Take Jasper's advice and keep the AC going!!

I have absolutely no idea what that kind of temp could possibly feel like and really I've no wish to find out.I can't even function at 30C. This morning I woke up to -6 C and a power failure. :>0 I hope you can stay cool and safe and Jasper is one smart dood. I am pretty sure if I were there I wouldn't be chirping at the AC I would be all out howling. I have seen some of the news coverage of the fires and it looks terrifying. Be well.
