My wife's niece and her husband along with their two kids are going to visit us for a couple of day's in July. The two kids are great, they have visited us before and have learned to love our dogs. However, the niece and her hubby do not like dogs and think that they are dirty.
Rather than have any arguments I am posting a framed copy of this in full view.
CROWE HOUSE RULES
If you object to a dog being affectionate
If you object to a dog being playful
If you object to a dog on the furniture
If you object to a little barking
PLEASE REMEMBER
This is our dogs’ house, not yours…
BTW: I don't trust anyone who dislikes dogs and I have a valid reason not to trust the hubby who tried to hit on our daughter when his wife was pregnant...

Perfect Rules! I don't like people who don't like dogs too. They have no idea what they are missing lol!
gross to last statement.
OMD! Does your niece know about the pass her husband made to your daughter? That would be an uncomfortable few days if reading this is the first time she's heard about it. I agree with F. There is always a hotel, but I find most guests that don't like dogs, dislike paying for a hotel even more. And they just might come to like dogs once they give our doodles a chance.
If my 77 year old mom and 80 year old step-dad can learn to like dogs after spending time with my doodles then I think ANYONE can. I did explain to them that they were a part of our family and very important to us. That they didn't need to be nasty to them or push them away, just tell them to go and they will. I told my mom that it actually hurt my feelings when they were mean to my doodles and to please stop. Things got so much better after that. Or you can do what some DK'ers suggested. They had to put money in a jar for every mean, nasty or thoughtless act or words they had against my doodles. That hit the right button, cuz there was no more nastiness after that rule. Good luck
