I Lost "IT" at the PetStupid Store!!:(

Hi Guys!! This is Tara and I have a problem.

Last weekend DD and DM and I went to what at that time was called the PetSmart store cause Bandy and Rosey's nice momma give us a coupon (whatever that is).

So we get there and right away I notice that DD & DM are losing their voices!! Like I could hardly HEAR them!!! Pretty soon I couldn't hear them at all so I thought they were off shoppin without me. OH WELL!! I figured that I would just check out all the really cool stuff like toys and honey baked ham bones and more toys and even BIGGER honey baked ham bones!! Woo Hoo!!

Next thing I knew there was a strange lady followin me everywhere. Reachin out tryin to grab me and talkin in this silly baby voice:( I tried to get away but every time I turned a corner she was there!! So I freaked out and just started jumpin, and lungin and pullin cause I didn't know what else to do!!!! Then she grabbed a toy off the shelf and started waving it in my FACE!!! It scared me so BAD but the next thing I knew someone picked me UP!! I turned around and it was DD!!! Was I ever glad to see him and I said "Where ya been???"

Then I heard DM-SHE was back too!!! She was telling the lady we had to go and then I heard her tell DD that she would like to tell that lady where she could put that toy!! I guess she meant back on the shelf. Then momma said we needed to get out of there because "Tara has LOST IT!!" WHAT??? What did I lose??? Was it a ham bone??? Was it honey baked??? Shouldn't we stay and look for it???

On the way home one of them said for us it turned out to be the PetStupid store and something about my OB training going down some drain somewhere..WTD????

So my problem is that we left and I never found my IT!!! I've been worryin about my lost IT ever since then. I am writin to ask you guys if you will look for my IT the next time you are at the PetStupid Store??? I'm sure IT is somethin REALLY GOOD!!! Thanks!! Doodle hugs!! Tara

Hey Murphy!! I'm glad to hear that you got your IT. Maybe there is hope for me :) For now I'll just keep waiting and hopefully my IT will show up some day. DM and DD and I have REALLY been working on my sit/stay and my "no jumping" the last couple days. It's WAY fun because I get lots of loves and treats. They are very happy with my progress so maybe I will get to go to the PetStupid store soon to test out what I have learned!! Honey Baked Ham Bones here I come!!!! Woo Hoo!!

I find the whole "not knowing what sit means" thing insulting too. WTD!! I know what sit means!!! My problem is that my mom loses her voice a lot. Especially in stores. And I just can't hear her!!

Tara, Murphy here. My mom said I did that when I was little (whenever that was), but we kept practicing and I finally got IT.
One of my teachers told my mom that "Dogs don't generalize. Sit at one location doesn't mean sit somewhere else. So take HIM a LOT of places."
Personally, I find that a little insulting. I know what sit is. There is just so much new stuff going on.

Now I only get goofy when I'm going to doggy day care. I LOVE doggy day care.

Yeah, DM says it will be a long time before I see the inside of the PetStupid store again! I think I will have to be whipped like Murphy first! :( Once I'm whipped then I can go lookin for honey baked ham bones again with my new protectors Ned and Clancy. In the meantime I guess I'll try to find me one of those stores with the big bins full of goodies right at mouth level!! Or Honey Baked Ham Bones to GO!!! Woo Hoo!!

Tara, glad you're okay and your folks protected you from that strange lady in the PetStupid store.
We hardly ever go there; my mom doesn't like their selection, whatever that is. We go to a store where there are big bins full of good stuff that I never get at home, and the best part is that they are down where I can stick my whole face in them and take as much as I want while Mom is reading labels! Maybe you can find a store like that!

What, BIG HONEY BAKED HAM BONES!!! Are you kidding me, no wonder you were really excited. Where is this place anyway? I need to go there. My brother, Murph, loses IT whenever we go to stores too. Mom's taking him to OB training today, and the trainer is actually going to do his "lesson" at the pet store. Mom says he'll be "whipped into shape". I was really happy because I thought there would be real whips involved (I was LOL just at the thought of it), but then DM said that was just a "saying" and that there would be no actual whips. Humans talk funny. Anyway, it sounds like you may not be going back to the PetStupid store...that's too bad, Tara. Maybe your DM could get some of those Honey Baked Ham Bones "to go". Dear Tara,
Don't worry about losing IT cause you don't need IT. But if you ever go back to the PetStupidStore we will go along for back-up and protect you from that stranger lady. I, Ned, will jump on her and Clancy will bark ferociously and growl even. Then we can all check out the ham bones and fuzzy balls together.

Oh Bandy!! I didn't know what you might THINK about me losin it!!! Momma said you didn't steer us wrong cause we learned a lot about somethin called my "level of distraction" or something like that.

I did get lots of hugs and snuggles!! Woo hoo!!! That was the best part!!! STRANGER DANGER-that's an easy way to remember!!! And please do send me some OB tips..looks like I'm gonna need a bunch!!

TARA-honeybear!! you never told me this!! WTD is right!! You probably just lost all your senses (aka IT) with all the goodies in the store, but we all know the best goodies are our mommies & daddies!! Sorry we steered you wrong on the PetStupid store... But it's a very good thing you know about STRANGER DANGER! My mama is always tellin' us about that, only take treats from strangers if mom say it's OKAY!

I am sure you got to ride home in you mommies lap and got extra cuddle time ever since. Tell your mom we are sending OB tips your way from our class so you can practice with us!! xoxo - Bandy!
