My girls are a source of constant amusement. It was a very busy Saturday for our human kids. Today we had soccer and dance (2 soccer games and a dance class) so dinner was quick and simple - hot dogs and raw carrots. Violet and Veruca came barreling into the living room fighting over something. I assumed one of the kids must have dropped a hot dog - they were treating it like fillet. Low and behold.. it was a carrot. Veruca broke off a piece and while she worked on what she had, Violet would steal the carrot to break a piece off. They went back and forth like this.

Veruca LOVES apples. Loves them. When the kids have one Veruca follows them around hoping they will lose interest and hand the remainder off to her. Violet has already shown an interest in them too... and now the raw carrots. I thought the apple was unique to Veruca. I've never in my life had a dog that wanted anything to do with fresh fruits and vegetables. Cracks me up.

Haley loves carrots along with most other fresh raw veggies. We grow carrots in the garden and when they get to a harvestable size Haley pulls his own! The other day he tried to pull some carrots but the ground was too dry and hard and they broke off so he dug them. I had to finish digging the row so I could have some too.

Phoebe is a huge fan of carrots, peanut butter and rice but my friend has two labs who eat yogurt/berry/granola parfaits for dessert!

My guys aren't huge fans of raw veggies, but they love them cooked. They do like the apples though.

We had a toy poodle for 16 years. As she got older she started putting on lbs. The vet suggested changing her treats (which she got too many of) to baby raw carrots. She loved them. She would eat a big bag from Sam's each week. Our Doodles love them too. The weight loss was immediate as well once we switched to carrots. I can keep a small bowl of them in the door of the ref on the bottom and any time the door is opened they will come in and get a carrot! My girls favorite treat is Popcorn!

In addition to carrots, apples, and bananas, Sedona loves broccoli and lettuce.

Achilles loves all fruits and veggies. I use them as a training treat. Green peppers are his all time fav.
