Introducing Baby Ludo

You guys, I am so excited. As I wrote about in my earlier blog posts, I was struggling a bit with selecting which puppy I wanted. I was deciding between two boys.  One was front and center, always doing goofy things and, I swear, always had a smile on his little face.  The breeder even called him the "happy happy puppy" and noted that if he had been a girl, he'd have kept him.

The other boy was sweet but also quite independent-- always off doing his own thing and never very present for any videos, he'd always just be wandering around in the background.  The thing about him, he is GORGEOUS.  He is a deep red color with the brightest eyes and the cutest little black nose.  

So I went with *drumroll.......* The Happy Happy Puppy.  I think from the moment I saw the first video of them, I knew that he was a special puppy.  I literally can't not smile whenever I see a video of him.

I also shared this passage in an earlier post.  The name Ludo is inspired a bit by a description of a Harry Potter character of the same name.  I feel like he's going to live up to the idea.  It goes:

"He was walking as though he had springs attached to the balls of his feet and was plainly in a state of wild excitement" 

I know that the red boy would have an will make a wonderful pet, but I think this boy already had my heart. (Not to mention everyone I showed videos to was chanting his microchip number 096 in my ear at every chance).  He absolutely has everyone under his spell already.  

By the way, this picture doesn't do him justice.  I'll be taking all new photos when I get him, which should be around October 9-12.

I am so so so excited and so looking forward to every adventure that comes with him.

HARRY POTTER!   Yay!

So glad he is finally going to be among us.  I have that HAPPY Boy you talk about. He is as young as the day I brought him home and he will be 7 in December.  

So HAPPY he will be among us all soon. BTW, that other red boy will fade in color, probably. Glad you picked personality over coat.  You are going to make a good moma
