It's 6:00 am...
... and our little Doodle is definitely home!! Just got back from bringing her to the yard to potty, she's back in the crate and crying at me. We didn't get home from the airport until after 2:00 AM (delayed flights, customs issues... poor girl in her carrier all day) and she was in her crate by about 3:00. Lily slept beautifully until now, and is trying to figure out how many times she has to whimper and squeal before she's allowed to come out and play!
Lily really is a beautiful girl. The darling dood was in her travel carrier from 5:00AM until about midnight and she was soaking wet and stinky when we finally got her. I wiped her down with a towel and baby wipes, gave her food and water, let her take a bathroom break on a pee pad and she sat in my lap all the way home without an accident! She alternated between doing gymnastics all over my lap and snuggling in with her face shoved into the corner between my hips and the door, snoring. So sweet.
As I write this, she is finally settling down in her crate, looking up at me with those big brown eyes! In about an hour I plan on giving her a good bath and scrub, feeding her some breakfast and then introducing her (finally!) to Eddie, our ten year old dog who is wondering what the heck all the commotion is.
Lily is SUCH a different puppy than Eddie was. I just love her to bits though and am looking forward to really getting to know her today. I have the camera ready and will hopefully be uploading a few pictures of her soon!

Congrats on your new puppy arriving safely home. guess Eddie will find out soon enough what all the commotion is, and now he can play the proud new big brother and teach her all the ins and outs. The joys of adding a new puppy...best of luck to you all..and can't wait to see pic's of Lilly and Eddie...

I feel for you - at the hour we should be getting our beauty sleep but who can sleep knowing that their is a little soul waiting to be hugged? Have fun today. Waiting to see pictures!
