Getting ready for Lily!

I feel like I am going crazy waiting for our little doodle to come home. We talked to the breeder today and the litter's go-home date might be delayed by a week because the pups may not be quite ready to leave their mama yet. I know it's what's best for Lily but I am so darn excited to have her home!

I've been doing lots of shopping to prepare for her arrival. We picked up her food today (went with Orijen), have her grooming supplies ready, crate, leash, collar, a few toys, blankets, treats... you name it! She's signed up for puppy classes and I have her first veterinarian appointment made. I'm starting to stress out that there's something I haven't thought of yet.

I just can't wait to have our warm, wiggly puppy home with us. I look at her picture nearly every day and say "hi!" to her. This waiting period is killing me!

The waiting killed us too, Penny has now been home with us for 4 weeks, and she is 12 weeks old today. She certainly makes her presence felt. Good luck with Lily, our little bundle of fun can be a little bundle of trouble too, make sure you've got your wits about you, they are smart, smart, smart! So adorable!

We have a nice dog park here that Neely really likes to go to. He seems like the walmart greeter of the dog park. Other dogs go about thier business but Neely stops and greets every new dog in the gate then plays again. I feel like he needs a uniform with a big happy face on it!

We're actually getting her from a breeder in the US, I couldn't find any breeders in Ontario without a very long waiting list! Poor puppy has to fly here but I'm sure it will be worth the journey. :)

I've been to Stratford many times for the festival, it's wonderful!

We just went through the same thing. Waiting is so hard. You'll have your Lily home before you know it, and it's so much better for her to be really ready to leave her Mom...and actually better for you too.

Thanks, everyone! It's true, I should enjoy the extra sleep while I can lol. I am just not a patient person but nature though. ;)

I'm hoping to get a few pictures from the breeder this week so I can post them even if she isn't home yet. And I'm crossing my fingers tightly that she MAY be ready this week.

Wow lucky puppy that you are so prepared...it won't be that long..and if you have to wait an extra week...look at the sleep you won't be loosing yet..lol might even help them adjust quicker for when they can come home....
