Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Wow, what a fun day we had here. We are getting our first snow of the year and we already have about 5 inches (even for Michigan that is not normal this time of year).
This is the first snow since we have adopted our 2 doodles (Fozzie in April and Ember in October). I think Fozzie has been around Michigan winters before and I think Ember has seen snow but not as much as we get here.
Well, they are having so much fun running and chasing each other in it. It is so fun to watch. Fozzie especially is all wound up. He keeps wanting to go outside and can't settle down. He is just like a kid at Christmas. Seeing them just makes me smile. They are so much like kids. There is just something about that first snow that is magical. All the trees are white and everything looks brand new and clean. I love it until Christmas and then I'm ready for summer again. LOL
After they came in they of course had snowballs all over their feet and legs. Ember was so funny. She just stood there and didn't want to move. I don't think she knew what to do or why the ice was there. I took them upstairs and put them in the shower and ran some warm water to melt them. She was better then :)
I have a feeling that tomorrow morning will be a repeat of tonight...
Just had to share what fun it was to see them so excited and playing in the white stuff! Ahhhh...the beginning of a long Michigan winter.

Yay'! have fun.
They make us smile every day. We truly feel like the fortunate ones to have them be part of our family. Loving every minute with our new doods and feel like our family is now complete :)
What a joy to see these two formerly homeless doodles frolicking in the snow! Thank you, Beth, for giving them the kind of life every dog deserves.
Ahh, you are making my 2 footed & 4 footed children jealous with all that fun playing in the snow.
Aren't they so sweet and innocent about life??? I love to watch dogs in the snow too! They really know how to enjoy it! Next time grab the video camera!
I love the first snow too. My mom said Indiana got it yesterday. Glad you and the dogs are having a great time in the snow.
What a great thing to experience. Those are 2 lucky doodles to have found you! I'm not a huge fan of snow but I do love to see the doods chase eachother in it.
What a great thing to see! These doods just make us smile, and that sure sounds like a smile-maker.
Sounds like a really fun time for the Doods. My Shelby hasn't seen much snow at all... just a few flurries, she would be just like Fozzie - all wound up and full of the zoomies, excitement and joy! Enjoy!!!
They are so adorable together - it must be so much fun watching them! Gotta love those snow barnacles. By the time they melted Jake was ready to go out again! I decided to buy a small electric heater that I kept outside the gate of the laundry room just so he could melt.
