Lilly is feeling quite comfortable at home. She takes her toys out of the toy box and like my children, never puts them back. She has discovered the poochie bells and can ring it herself. It is very exciting.. two grown people jump out of their chairs/ stop whatever they are doing and let her outside.  She picks up leaves/ twigs/ looks for bugs and by accident goes potty and then whichever parent is out in the yard with her makes a big deal out of it.. like man landing on the moon big deal. and drinks. I mean treats all around.

We visited with a neighbor that has a 5 yr old scotty today. Lilly was over the moon happy and the other dog..not so much. but Lilly did get to try a Bully stick and looked at me as if to say "Zoe has everything and I don't have a thing to play with" so now I am going to buy bully sticks for the girl.

I never see her with her mouth closed anymore.(unless she is sleeping.) busy, busy, busy girl..I am trying to put a toy in her mouth instead of my fingers/ arm/ hand..

She has got the crate thing down. It is in the bedroom so she only goes in there when I put her in the crate. She whines a bit then plops down and goes to sleep. She wakes up about every 2 hours to go potty. Her hours are about 830 to 430am when she is ready to start her day. I need to get her on our schedule, but so far I just get up with her and when she naps, I nap.. I am very lucky not to be working and can nap during the day.

She has  (what I call) a day bed that she drags her toys in and chews on them.  She is not content until all of her toys are out of the box and within pouncing distance. When the spirit moves her, she runs through the house like there is a shoe sale at Nordstrom and she must get there first. then she will plop on the wood floor and go to sleep.

I am going to start putting on her collar and leash tomorrow and let her drag it around so she can get used to it. We do not have a fenced yard and she is starting to become braver and braver by the day. Her days of sticking by us like glue are over and time to put the leash on her when we go out.

Yummy - Stuart will eat other animals poop but not his or Rooney's that goodness.  Both the boys will eat rabbit poop.

thank you Laurie..however last night I would have given her to passing gypsies. I told her out about 1 and thought what is she doing over there...eating poop... not hers, not dog poop... I have no idea..raccoon? ground hog... ick, ick, ick.. so then she whined all night because she wanted to go back out. I would put her on the other side of the yard and then she would run as fast as her little legs would carry her back to the poop spot and I would be right behind her on my chubby legs chasing her..

Love your descriptions about Lilly! She sounds great! Bully sticks were my best friend at this age.

Yep, just looked red barn, all natural.  We get the braided ones as I think they last longer, also when they get about 2/3 gone - you have to take them away and chuck em out so that they can't "eat" a large piece.

She'll be shopping with at Nordstroms soon I'm sure, my kinda girl!  Sounds like she is doing wonderful.  About those bully sticks - some of the ones sold in the big box stores aren't all that safe or good for your girl - they might say made in the U.S. but the beef isn't always raised in the U.S.  We now buy bully sticks in bulk (and store in our extra frige in the garage) from a company that only uses U.S. raised beef and the sticks are manufactured in the U.S. with no additives or preservatives.  DH is in charge of this activity but I think the company is Red Barn.
