Losing My Mind

[Laurie, Fudge, and Vern]

I think I am spending too much time on Doodle Kisses. Last night, in the middle of the night, I was taking Vern and Fudge out and Vern bolted out the door. Luckily, he is a little velcro guy and just stood there, but I could not remember his name. I was yelling "here Banjo". I have also called him Murphy, Norm, and what's his name. I am hoping I am just sleep deprived and not losing my mind.

I love both those names...Toast and Banjo! I hope I don't start calling Vern Toast now.

Laurie.....I too have trouble remembering Banjo's name. It's been almost 7 years since our last dog...Toast...yet we both have called out for Toast many times in the last few weeks. I also call him Benjamin...?????.....no explanation for that one! Benji is another one. I guess in time Banjo will sink in!

been there done that. I think it happens most of the time when I am in a hurry or really need to get their attention "Mark, Allie" whatever your name is!!

I'm afraid I do the same thing mixing the 2 footed and 4 footed children's names. Lots of times the last thing out of my mouth is "whoever the heck you are..." =)

I am constantly messing up my children's names among the four of them and throwing 'Phoebe' (my youngest hates when I call HIM Phoebe) in there for good measure now and again. My oldest suggested we rename the children by number/birth order and that we now call Phoebe 'dog' as that should make my life easier! Argg

There have been several times that I've actually called Lucy and Sophie by Socy and Luphie ....... I have you aren't loosing your mind, because well that would mean .......... so are all of us!
