Lyric's final week!

Oh, boy--here we go! Lyric is getting all swollen now and has the look of impending motherhood. Christmas was fine until someone opened a present with some sort of stuffed animal in the box...then she was all over it and it had to be hidden some place. She is very tired today after all the activity and is sleeping most of the day...the week is starting off with a BLIZZARD so hopefully, she has a few more days to go before the puppies arrive. I doubt anything will happen before next weekend and the 16 inches of snow we are expecting should be all cleared off the roads by then. 

Last night and earlier today I was rubbing Lyric's tummy and could feel all the little movements of puppies inside--so cool! Now, I keep laying my hand on her side so I can feel them again--so exciting. Little paws hit the side and then a big head or rump will roll by--LOL! 

Tuesday is X ray day--we will see of we can make an accurate count of the puppies--Will keep you all posted when the numbers are known!

Thanks for all of your support and interest--it has been wonderful to have other doodle lovers to share this with. It's now midnight and 16 inches of snow have already fallen! We still have 12 more hours of snow to get through--whew! I am glad that Lyric is not due today--what a disaster that would be!
We thought that we can name the puppies after the blizzard--names like snowball, snowstorm, snow plow, snowball--LOL!
