I used to wonder what people were talking about when they asked me if Gingy matted? Matted? I only need to brush him maybe once a week! Never any mats, never any problems. Until his big boy fur came in! Wow was I unprepared for that! In a matter of a week, the poor thing had a major matting problem. So on-line I went and found DoodleKisses. I found some very helpful information on how to brush him, the proper brushes and combs that I need and a recommendation to use Cowboy Magic. I wasn't able to get him into a groomer to start from scratch (earliest appointment I can get is Jan 22nd - the drawbacks of living on an island in a small community!). So I spent a week cutting them out with mat scissors and regular ones. He has some spots where you can see "holes" but it grows back quickly. Now I'm on a regular grooming schedule and his fur is back to it's gorgeous self! I'm just sooooooo thankful I found this site! I'm not really sure what I'd be doing if I hadn't learned about the combs, etc?!!!

I do it in front of the tv. I have a few minutes to sit at the end of the day...and that's what I do with it! Ha! With the products recommended to me, I have it under control. Last night I didn't find one mat and only needed 10 minutes to brush him out. So it's looking like I'm only going to need to brush him every other day or every 3rd day. If I don't use the Cowboy Magin after brushing, I'd need to do it everyday. I am having him trimmed up with a winter cut soon.

Matted! Our dogs middle name should be Matted. They have many matts but that would be becuase with preteen and teen and us in the house no time to brush them! We never brush them just cut them everyonce and a while.
