First, I would like to thank everyone who came to my page and wished me well for my birthday. That means a lot and I appreciate it. It also says a lot about this community. I'm now 36 years old and I feel like I just graduated high school! It may be because the only children I have is little furry Max. :)

I got a nice new computer for my birthday and I am now viewing gorgeous doodles on a 23" flat panel wide screen monitor. Yes, they are twice as cute now - haha!

The best gift came from Max. I must admit that I've been slacking in the walking department. Max was not an easy walk. He would zig zag and sniff everything and pull you on a walk. I now know that this is quite typical for puppies. I'll admit that this was one thing I really didn't know about dogs. I thought it was a natural thing and they would just walk nicely along. Okay, it isn't the only thing I didn't know about dogs but, I'm not officially admitting that.

I decided to go for a walk with Max and he walked wonderfully! He is SO cute. He likes to hold the leash in his mouth while he walks! He stays on the sidewalk. No zig zagging or stopping every two seconds to sniff. Well, he sniffs a little here and there but, can you blame him? I can't believe it. It's like the walking fairy came and blessed my baby with direction! Maybe the great and wonderful OZ granted him his wish...whatever...I'm just thrilled.

Here are a few more updates on Max:

His adult teeth are in and his breath is no longer a reminder that hell exists.

He is close to 20 lbs and 16" tall. Not as big as I thought he would be at this point but, it is what it is and to be honest, I'm not as tall as I thought I would be and I surpassed the weight thing and my mama still loves me.

He has become a bit lazier. He sleeps a LOT more now during the day. Is that normal? He seems more active in the evening. Yet, he still sleeps through the night.

He has had no accidents since he was 4 months old and he is now 6 months old. Unfortunately, he likes to ring the Poochie bells often in the evening. I think it's a combination of him being more active and his favorite playmate (my husband) being home. I think he is hitting them in hopes of going on a walk. He needs to learn that we two legged people don't enjoy walking in circles for five hours. Then again, there are treadmills. Perhaps a sign that dogs are far more of a superior intelligence?

Finally - Max STILL humps!! Not at home but, he likes other canine friends. I'm off to pray to the humping gigolo fairy. Maybe she will help him.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes!

Nice to hear that Max is doing so well. If you happen to talk to the humping fairy, please put in a kind word for Yankee.
