Meet Sheba's Little Sister, Available for Adoption Through the DRC!!

Yep, that's right, we've finally met one of Sheba's family and we are fostering her for the DRC.  Sheba and Brianne share the same poodle mother but Sheba's dad is a GR and Brianne's dad is a Newfie.  Sheba was born Christmas Day, 2008 and Brianne was born July 4th, 2011.  When I got Sheba and Duke I was not very educated about back yard breeders, puppy mills etc.  Thanks to the DRC and Doodlekisses I've learned so much.  Although I do regret doing business with these "breeders" I do not regret for one minute having these wonderful beings in my life.

 For the past year I've tried to rescue their mother from this particular BYB.  I almost had her when lo and behold Sheba's mom became pregnant with Brianne and her litter mates.  The "breeder" decided she did not want to give up the mother and couldn't part with her.  Grrrrrrrrr   Anyway, Brianne was returned to the "breeder" by her owner because of health issues and she wasn't able to handle a rambunctious pup.  The "breeder" gave me a call and asked me if I wanted her.  Of course I scooped her up!!  

Brianne is a beautiful, sweet puppy.  I would keep her in a minute but DH says we are a two dog family.  *Sigh*  If Brianne is anything like Sheba she will turn out to be an incredibly intelligent and sweet girl.  I'd say she's on her way!  Hopefully her new home will be close enough that we will see her again!!   I'm gonna miss the little (big) girl.

Aren't we all sooooo adorable??  I think Sheba is rolling her eyes as she was tired of posing for photos.  

Me and my beautiful sister Sheba and my buddy Duke!!!  Do you think  Sheba and I have the same eyes???   They are exactly the same.  Sheba's eyes were closed so my foster mom cloned my eyes onto her.  Lol!!!

I'm a really good girl and I can't wait to meet my new furever family!!

I know what you mean ladies, she is absolutely adorable and wonderful puppy.  I want her too!!  Can't blame hubby for not wanting another dog.  Two works well for us with our lifestyle.  

Laurie - You're a hoot!  I think you should adopt her, or Bonnie, or Lynda....think about it.  : )

F - Sheba and Duke love it here.  We have had other doodle owners stop by and had a little romp.  It was a blast.  Just wish we could afford to fence in the whole property-that will NEVER happen.  Yes, the leash holder is Mike.  Don't you love his attire??  lol  We've had some problems with the septic system so he pulled out his tall boots.  He kinda reminds me of a Russian dancing man doing that dance where they cross their arms and kick their legs out while they squat...don't know the name of the dance.  I don't remember right off hand how big Sheba was at 6 months.  I have it written down but since we moved I can't find anything.  I do believe she is bigger than Sheba was at that age.  Sheba's (and Brianna's) mom is a small standard poodle around 44 lbs and probably 22 in. tall?  Brianna's dad is 145 lbs right now.  He isn't full grown but should end up to be around 160 lbs.  Don't know how tall he is.  I have been keeping their fur short because with all the swimming and running in the woods it's just so much easier to take care of.  Less matting and burrs.

Now that trio makes me smile.  Mike and Ann, I miss you.   The video was a lot of fun.  We are watching as we drink coffee.  Yep, I'm getting up really late today.

Bri, you are a lucky girl to have Sheba's gorgeous eyes.  Such a big girl, I think some farm land and a couple of doodles in Lima would do you perfect.  Hint Hint

OMD...I was smiling the entire time through the video and also quiet envious at the surrounds your Doodles have to play in.  Brianne is absolutely adorable and I have to say, fits right in with your family.  She seems like the perfect Doodle and they all get along so well.  I don't know how you are going to ever give her up. 

Okay, call me crazy, but the entire time I was watching the video I was thinking about Joanne and Starlit.  I remember her saying how much she loved sticks and there were your Doodles in the snow breaking branches off to get a stick and then Brianne tugging with Sheba for the stick.  There is a ton of expression in her eyes and face too.  I just kept thinking...what a perfect heart mender Brianne would be for Joanne, FJ and Spud...if and when they are ready.  I am not thinking that because she is black she is the right replacement.  I am just looking at the Doodle and her joy for life, sweetness and the wonderful soul I can see in her.  She would be perfect!  I just have this feeling that Brianne has appeared on DK on the same week we received the sad news of Starlit.  Is there a hidden meaning there?  She is such a love...I have fallen in love with her!

Becka - I have no idea what her coat will look like as she matures or even what size she'll be.  She seems to take after her Newfie father.  It will be interesting to see what happens to her coat as she matures.  I'm sure she will be beautiful!  : )
