Recently, Sheba got to meet her mom, Pepper.  I am amazed at how much they look alike and how they have quite a few of the same mannerisms.  I see where Sheba gets her head tilt and shyness.  Pepper is an incredibly sweet girl, just like Sheba.  : )

I can't believe my babies are both 3 years old now!  Sheba turned 3 on Christmas Day and Duke turned 3 on March 15th.  Time sure flies.  I can't imagine my life without them!  Sheba has turned into such a wonderful, loving, sweet and well behaved little girl and is always my foster dog baby sitter.  Duke is Duke.  What can I say?  He is a big lover and the goofiest dog I've ever had.  Both of them have added so much love and laughter to our lives.  : )…

Yep, that's right, we've finally met one of Sheba's family and we are fostering her for the DRC.  Sheba and Brianne share the same poodle mother but Sheba's dad is a GR and Brianne's dad is a Newfie.  Sheba was born Christmas Day, 2008 and Brianne was born July 4th, 2011.  When I got Sheba and Duke I was not very educated about back yard breeders, puppy mills etc.  Thanks to the DRC and Doodlekisses I've learned so much.  Although I do regret doing business with…

I finally broke down and went through Sheba & Duke's stuffed animals, or should I say, I finally went through what was left of their stuffed animals.  These old friends have been through hours of torture.  They have suffered through beheadings, loss of limbs, gutted, de-squeaked, left in the yard exposed to the elements and dropped out of car windows.  They have also been well loved.  Sheba had her favorites and wouldn't destroy these favorite "babies" as we called them. Here it is Sheba, Christmas day and your first birthday! We're sorry you have to spend some of it in the back of the car with the luggage and your brother Duke who tends to hog every inch of left over available space. We don't have a cake to eat or any presents for you to unwrap...but for your birthday you get to go to Florida with us and play on the doggie beach day after day and romp with Linda, Yankee & Finn!!!! I'm bummed. I have to go a whole week without my puppies. I haven't been away from them for more than a day since I got them. I am not a happy camper! We are sneaking off to Vegas on 10/17 to get hitched and we can't take them with us as we are flying. I have checked out several kennels.....yuck. I hate boarding!
