Micca Can't Count...

Micca is a rescue Shih Tsu 

Who has two puppies that are Shih Tsu and Maltese mixes...

Micca and her puppies stay in a puppy pen in the family room.  However we brought another mom with four puppies home last night and she is in another puppy pen in our bedroom.  Her puppies are quite noisy which worries Micca who thinks that it must be her puppies making the noise.  She doesn't realize that her two puppies were right next to her.

Anyway, I couldn't figure out why Micca was crying and howling.  I thought that she needed to go potty but when I brought her out to the yard (several times during the night) she made a  U turn and returned to the house.  I didn't realize that she was hearing the other mom's puppies.

We plan on leaving a radio on tonight next to Micca's puppy pen.  Hopefully, even at low volume, that will distract her from the other puppies.  

It is feast or famine...  We now have three mom's with their litters. A total of 6-boys and 1-girl.

wow--that is a lot of pups and moms! My dog that has pups cant even hear them on a video playing on the computer without searching the house for the pups---instinct!

Oh Micca...once a Mom always a Mom...she just has that motherly instinct and wants to care for the other puppies as well...what a sweet girl!
