HELP!!!!!

I have a wonderful Australian Labradoodle who is coming up for 6 months old. He is a very smart dog who is with me 24/7. We have had the very same routine each and every day since his arrival at 9 weeks old. He was very quick to learn how to use the litter tray on the terrace (we live in a condominium) and seemed to be house trained completely until one week ago.

EVERY day .... usually multiple times each day, Henry is peeing inside on the living room floor. This also happens right after I have had him out on the terrace where he, not only doesn't pee ... he scratches at the door to go back inside and within minutes he pees on the living room floor.

I am at a loss and would appreciate ANY advice.

Hello Everyone

Thank you all for your responses. As it turned out we had had a heavy rain storm about 4 days ago and the wood pellets in the litter box had soaked up some of the rain. It was hard to tell as the pellets did not swell up as much as they do when he urinates on them. I replaced the pellets and washed the tray and Henry is now back to normal and peeing as usual in his tray !!!!!

It could all be a male thing where Henry perfers walking and lifting his leg to pee...or he wants a larger area than a litter tray. Have you had other dogs in your condominium that may have peed and you are not aware they did. You also need to soak the area with cold water and I use my steam cleaner to clean it back up, than I soak it again and repeat doing this about 3xs...than use the steam cleaner and Urine Off or Nature's Miracle to finsih cleaning the area where he is going. You might want to try and scoop Henry up when he is peeing and rush him outside to where he is suppose to go, or go back to the basic's of retraining and use puppy pee pads till he starts going where you want him to again...

think Adina''s first question is a good one. If he was using the litter tray before, and suddenly doesn't want to use it, something has changed with the tray. Either it's dirty, full, or some other animal or bird has left a scent on it that Henry doesn't like. I also thought of a UTI, but that would only explain the accidents and more frequent peeing, it wouldn't explain why he doesn't want to go on the litter tray any more. Is he peeing normally when walked on grassy areas?
I'd try cleaning that tray, and maybe taking him on more frequent walks on actual grass, which most dogs do prefer, especially now that the weather is nice.

Could he have a bladder infection or a UTI? You may want to have him checked by your vet.

Just brainstorming...

1) Could it be that the litter tray is full or dirty?
2) Have you cleaned the spots inside where he's peed with a dog urine cleaner to completely remove traces of urine smell?
3) How often do you take him out to pee?
4) Is he crated when not supervised?
5) Do you catch him in the act every time? If so what do you do? If not where are you?
6) Have you tried walking him to a grassy area in the condo community or just outside it for pee time?

Do bring him back in until he pees! And then multiple praise
